Christopher Peter Lawson (PhD) is a medicinal Chemist with over 20 years experience at various level in both the pharmaceutical industry and academia. He is currently employed as a research fellow at the Strathclyde institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences of the Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland where his research interests involve the design and synthesis of novel small molecule  candidates for Cancer and Mitochondrial diseases. He is also a reserve in the British Army serving since 2001 with the 32 Signal Regiment based in Glasgow. A father of 2 kids, he has developed an interest in child protection issues especially out-of-school children in Nigeria.
